Anthrax Guitarist Scott Ian Hospitalised In LA!

Scott Ian - Anthrax

Anthrax guitarist, Scott 'Not' Ian has been hospitalised in Los Angeles due to a severe viral infection. The hospitalisation meant that Ian had to be given intravenous fuids and was also ordered by doctors not to fly causing him to miss last Mondays gig in Kansas City and he's also going to miss the Indianapolis gig. Anthrax have also announced that drummer Charlie Benante has left the tour to be with his terminally ill mother.

Anthrax explained this to fans in an official statement and guitarists from current touring partners Testament and Death Angel will perform in the place of Ian and drummer Benante will be replaced by Testament drummer Gene Hoglan.

Rob Caggiano from Anthrax said, "We didn’t want to cancel any of the concerts and we didn’t want to let anyone down, so we decided to figure out a way to keep the show on the road. We’re so grateful to the guys in Testament and Death Angel for stepping up."
