Lemmy - My Philosophy Is Live And Let Live!

Lemmy Kilminster - Motorhead

Motörhead are currently promoting their latest album, 'The World Is Yours' by bringing their own brand of no holds barred rock to the 2012 'Gigantour', which also features Megadeth, Lacuna Coil and Volbeat. Frontman Lemmy Kilminster recently shared some of his thoughts on touring and other recent hard rock news with SFWeekly.

Asked about Megadeth, and more specifically, Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson's current penchant for preaching their Christian beliefs, Lemmy said, "Well, the great thing about my philosophy is live and let live, you know? I don’t mind if you want to worship the Great Poobah in the sky, as long as you don’t expect me to do it, too. And nobody has so far preached to me on this tour, so it’s alright."

When asked if he had to avoid mentioning certain subjects, including religion, around Megadeth he said, "We hardly ever see Megadeth anyway. They come late and we leave early after we finish to beat the traffic out of there. So we don’t see much of them. I’ve stayed a couple of times to watch their show, but that’s about all."

Like everyone else in the World Lemmy also had his opinion on the now Bill Ward-less Black Sabbath reunion, "Well you can’t do a reunion without the originals, can you?"

The 2012 Gigantour continues through February before Motörhead return to Europe for a clutch of festival dates.
