Courtney Love Evicted From Home After Makeover!

Courtney Love

It seems like hardly a month goes past without Courtney Love generating some sort of publicity for her 'colourful' behaviour.

So just in time for Christmas, she's managed to set her house on fire and fail to pay her rent which has resulted in getting herself evicted from her New York townhouse.

The New York Post reported that the owner of the building is accusing Love of setting it on fire and also ruining its decor. Love is also allegedly more than $50,000 behind on her rent. Which isn't too outrageous as the rent on the property is actually $27,000 a month.

However, the owner of the property, Donna Lyon said, "It was decorated by the previous owner, interior designer Steven Gambrel. One of the requirements of the lease is that nothing should be done to the interiors. Courtney has wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent."

Courtney's home makeover only came to light when Ms Lyon decided to sell the property.

"I learned about this when I wanted to sell the house and had photographs taken," Ms Lyon explained to the New York Post. "I came to New York to see it and I was horrified by what she had done. The walls that had been hand-painted and glazed were ruined, covered in damask wallpaper and ice-blue paint."

Lyon says that Love also set fire to a curtain in the master bedroom and claims that the damage to the building could end up costing as much as $100,000 to repair.

Courtney will get a chance to give her version of events when she appears in Court on December 21st 2011.
